Our Staff

We take pride in maintaining a high standard amongst our staff with the accent being on individual care of residents: 'person-orientated rather than task-orientated'.

We hold a current "Investors in People" Award which reflects our feelings about the importance of appropriate training, communication and evaluation of our work. Enthusiastic, committed staff are at the heart of a good home making it a happy place for all who reside and work here.

In-house training is on-going and opportunities for spontaneous teaching are taken whenever possible. Regular training sessions take place with a qualified instructor covering a wide range of subjects including Manual handling, Infection control and Nutrition.

Staff are encouraged to attend courses to improve their skills and an on-going NVQ training programme is at the centre of our staff development. "NVQ in Care" is a nationally recognised qualification that gives staff a greater insight into the care they provide.
