Terms and Fees

Fees

In general, our fees are based partly upon the room and its facilities and partly upon the amount of care needed by each resident. There is quite a large range in both of these and consequently we do not issue a schedule of fees but decide upon individual fees after full assessment of the resident prior to admission. At present our fees range from £500 to £700+ per week.

Terms

When residents enter Pinhay House we are required under the Care Standards Act 2000 to furnish them with our Service Users Guide and make available to them our Statement of Purpose, which contain the full terms and conditions of residency at Pinhay House

Our latest Inspection Report is always available to read in the main hall, and copies can be obtained from CSCI either from their website www.csci.org.uk or on 0870 240 7535.

For short term e.g. respite care or for those coming in for a trial period, we require weekly or fortnightly fees in advance. In the latter case this is until a decision on permanent residence has been made.

Other Sources of Support

There are several Charities who are prepared to consider making a small grant in certain cases to help meet the fees. If relatives wish to apply to these we will give all the help we can.

We also have access to specialist financial advice, from an independent advisor for residents going into care who are self funding.
