Quality of Care
Pinhay House exists to provide the highest level of care, given by well-trained sympathetic staff in an atmosphere of homeliness and comfort, where each resident is able to maintain their agreed level of independence conducive to their well-being.
The purpose of Pinhay House is to provide a home for those elderly people, who are either unable to or do not want to look after themselves in their own homes.
The home is registered for twenty-five elderly people, male or female, who may be physically or mentally infirm and are often pleasantly confused due to dementia or senescence.
As the home combines confused and lucid residents it is important to maintain a happy atmosphere by ensuring that very disturbed, aggressive people or those with very inappropriate behaviour are not accepted.
We are registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection and accredited with both Devon and Dorset Social Services for Care of the elderly and elderly confused.
The home is a long-time member of the leading South West group – Residential Care Home Trust
